    She was seventh in 1948 Olympics but, following her 1952 victory, she placed fourth in 1956 OG and second in 1960 OG. In 1958, at age 35, she set a world record for the javelin.

    And, just to be clear despite a message board inference, she was not a twin (sister) to runner Emil Zatopek. She was his wife.

    For the completion, Dana's maiden name was Ingrová (she still competed under that name in '48 London - I believe she placed 6th in the jav). Adams/Jefferson they were unable to manage, Emil died, Dana is alive and well.
