      This is sad: I'm looking through the results and in the mHJ, 55-59 event, there is ONE placer and he jumped 4'2".
      It's going to be a long time before Masters Track can be taken seriously, even with the great Silvester (and some others) result.

                            Because no one is giving the bald fat guys medals and telling them they are nationally ranked athletes. I know MANY masters athletes who take themselves very seriously. Some merit recognition (like Phil Raschker); most don't. I know a guy who finished second at the National Championships last year, which he was very pleased to do, but he also realizes that the 1.50 meters he jumped in the M55-59 age-group would not even win some junior high girls meets.
