PV and 800

Today (Sunday) is the birthday of an American pole vaulter who won a silver medal in the Olympic Games and a Kenyan who won two consecutive gold medals in the world championships at 800 (he also has a bronze medal). The vaulter turns 51 today while the runner is 46 years old. Can you name these two men?

I believe the 800 man is Billy Konchellah (sp?).

Very good KDFINE, today is Billy Konchellah's 46th birthday. He was world 800 champion in Rome and Tokyo. Nice job.

Billy was absolutely one of the most graceful runners of all time at any distance. I think he would have been a fabulous 400m man too!
