Alan Webb....people forget that the kid could dunk a basketball and was an all-state quarterback. He also played the tuba and could chomp down 5 peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches in under 60 seconds.

Jackie Robinson led the Pacific Conference in scoring at 12 points per game, and was conference long jump champ. Jackie Joyner was an All-Pac 8 basketball player and a UCLA track star. I have heard that David Thompson, who may have been the best basketball player in ACC annals, was a very good triple jumper.

(and while we're at it, allow me to mention once again that Wilt did NOT jump 6-8, nor did he run a sub-50 relay leg: indeed, I'd be surprised if he ever ran a leg after high school, and anybody who ran sub-50 as a prep in his days was among the nation's best quartermilers)

Not to answer my own ? but wasn't there aHJER NAMED RAMBO Agree that no one close to MARION JONES; top female of today and top 5 of alltime .also all ACC IN HOOPS, COULD have good pro.
