I know someone who has seven copies of that book, and it isn't me.

        Re: Peter Snell

I picked up a copy of the book on eBay (signed copy) for $31

and as for senior runners, Snell is completing a book on maintaining fitness through advancing age.

          Re: Peter Snell

Hey, back to my question.... again! Nobody can come up with who the first high schooler was to beat Snell in '65?

Hints you already have: he went on to become Roscoe Divine's teammate at Oregon, and the Kingston Trio knew his brother.

          Here's another: he's Canadian.

              Pierre Trudeau.
              Nanook of the North.
              Gordon Lightfoot.
              Peter Jennings.
              I'm stumped.

Hey, I actually Have A Life away from this board you know ! ( work, Christmas shopping, etc.) And I did post my interesting story about a chance meeting with Peter Snell on another thread about 5 days ago.

So yes I am alive and living in Indianapolis !

                    Re: Peter Snell

Canadian Ducks include Harry Jerome, Art Boileau, Peter Spir (a miler no less).

What about Bruce Mortenson? But he was from Minnesota I believe.

                      Re: Peter Snell

I finally had an excuse to register as no one else has answered Gary Hill's HSers vs Peter Snell question:

                      Norm Trerise

Usually, the trivia answerers are too fast for me.

                          Is it Terry Dooley then?

So we can assume the brother is Tom Dooley. I should pay attention to those PBS pledge drives more often.

Wrong runner! I led off and Jerry Siebert anchored the 2 x 880 relay in England after the 1960 Olympics.
