    well,215ft & 3ft up,normally means with an expected throwing angle of 45 degrees that the extra distance until it hit the ground would be 3ft for a total of 218ft or

    ~ 66.44m

    what was the WR at the time ?

      The WR at the time was Oerter's 62.62m (205'4")

        Hey heres one that was reported a long time ago. I cant come up with any site to verify it though. Apparently a Pawnee Indian ran a mile that had been surveyed and measured in under four minutes. I think the time was aprox 3:57. The time was kept by U.S. Army officials. It was supposed to have occured in the late 1800s.

              If they had taken more than four minutes to do the measuring surveying perhaps they might have come up with an accurate measurement.
