    Re: Triiiiiiiiiivia

just a wild wild guess at John Uelses in the PV in 1962. To repeat this is a SWAG.

If you don't consider marathon a T&F event, Roman Sebrle, Deca 9026, Gotzis 27.5.2001.

This guess was strictly from memory, I have now checked and he jumped 16' 3/4" in Santa Barbara on 3/31/62 for a WR. Now I'll did out an old issue and see if it was his first outdoor meet of the year or not. The World Rankings listing at the end of the year, in the 1/63 issue ( he was 3rd) don't say. I just remembered it was early in the year.

No dice. I just looked it up in the applicable issue. He jumped 15' 7" the week before.

Still, an informed guess IMO. Note I left out the H.

Plus I should have realized that someone else would have set a WR in a seasonal debut in the next 41 years !

I don't have the time to look this up, but had Bayi run before his WR in 1975?

check it out baby, I just gave an answer that might be right. It's a guess, but I remember it being very short.

well, I tried and had a pretty good answer, anyway.
