This guess was strictly from memory, I have now checked and he jumped 16' 3/4" in Santa Barbara on 3/31/62 for a WR. Now I'll did out an old issue and see if it was his first outdoor meet of the year or not. The World Rankings listing at the end of the year, in the 1/63 issue ( he was 3rd) don't say. I just remembered it was early in the year.

No dice. I just looked it up in the applicable issue. He jumped 15' 7" the week before.
Still, an informed guess IMO. Note I left out the H.
