Is Bolt, at 6' 5", a new prototype - the wave of the future- or abberation?
Tommie Smith, Steve Williams, who else? How tall was McKinley?
McKenley was about 6-1. Wint was close to 6-5 and had similar build to Bolt but of course Wint was an 400-800 type.
Carlos was 6-4 but Tommie Smith at 6-3 was split higher. Obikwelu is 1.95 (6-4 3/4) Jaysuma Ndure is also an unusual looking sprinter. Reed thin and 1.92.
Wave of the future probably. Maybe not in the US though.

Steve Riddick was 6'3" and so was Dave Sime and Ken Norton.

Texas, what are the heights?
All 6-3 or taller.
I've never seen Lewis listed at anything but 6-2.
Really have to watch all that kinda stuff. It's kinda like the football 40. The cat is taller than most sprinters...ok?
Absolutely agree. I have seen Williams listed from 6-2 to 6-3½.[/quote:36ewz7sp]
I saw Williams run a number of times, the funny (best word?) thing about a Steve Williams race was that everyone "behind" him appeared to be running faster..ha!
