Name the former TJ and LJ standout who has a cousin who is a Pro Football full-back who has played in the NFL for 11 seasons and was once All-Pro.

Hint: This jumper has major conference championship wins at both the LJ and TJ.

Hint: He was a LJer in High School (25' +) then did both in college before settling in on the TJ after college. Narrowly missed making the Olympic Team twice in the TJ.

Another hint: He trained with another more accomplished TJer at their alma matter.

His cousin has played for the Bills, Patriots and Ravens during his NFL career.

OK, I guess no one was too interested.

If anyone WAS curious the Jumper was Clifton Etheridge out of Kansas State.

His cousin is Sam Gash of the Buffalo Bills.

Part of the problem was probably your tagging of Etheridge as "narrowly missing making the Olympic team twice." I cannot even remember the guy and when I do some research I find he didn't make the Olympic Trials final in 1992 and was 10th in 1996. That's close to making the Olympic Team twice like Bruce Jenner is close to a two-time Oscar winner for his acting talents.

Fair enough comment, but also check the 2000 Trials. He was a contender there as well. Also ranked 8th in the US in 2000. But I admit that my glasses were probably clouded on this one as I was good friends with Clifton and Sam in high school. A 26' LJer and 54' TJer in college is pretty good but unfortunately he wasn't able to improve much after college (I and alot of us know that feeling).
