  • A Little More Difficult

Today (Tuesday) we celebrate three birthdays. Name these three athletes. The first one held the American record in his event and he turns 52 years old today. The second man turns 40 today and lost "his" world record in Beijing last month. The third person earned the bronze medal in the world championships in his event eleven years ago. Today he is 36 years old. Hint: All three runners ran different events.

MJ has to be the 40-year-old. He ran 19.32 at the age of 28 in '96.

          It's Drummond.

          MJ's birthday is 13th September (and then he'll be 41, not 40).

Yeah, I figured it out re-reading the question and saw the "his".

Congratulations mikli. It is Sydney Maree (52 today), Jon Drummond (40), and Bryan Bronson (36). Each had a pretty good career, with some pretty good marks. Happy birthday Sydney, Jon, and Bryan.

Not so happy for Maree, who was just indicted on embezzlement charges. But a birthday nonetheless.

Maree was indicted a while ago. He was just sentenced last month.
