Happy birthday today (Monday) to two famous European athletes. One turns 52 while the other is 51 today. The older of the two was a world record holder and an Olympic champion. He is still very much involved in track and field today.
The younger of the two has a silver and a bronze medal from the world championships, but no gold. His bronze medal race is still considered one of the best races in our sport today. That race was run in Italy. Who are the two birthday athletes today?

Yes, happy birthday today (Monday) to Sebastian Coe (52) and Harold Schmid (51). If you saw the Los Angeles Olympic Games in 1984, you saw both men compete.
