From 1948 onward, in Mens' individual events, there is one event where, from one Olympics to the next, there was a repeat of at least one person on the medal stand that was also there 4 years earlier, for 7 Olympics ! It happened in 5 Olympics in only 2 other events. Is this too hard to understand ?
Now don't just go look it up, that's cheating. All you wonks that have all medalists memorized should easily get the event with a continuity of 7. Bonus points for the two at 5. And super bonus points for outlining the continuity strings.
Remember, no cheating !!!
To say again, a repeat of at least one person on the medal stand that was there 4 years earlier... never 3 brand new people compared to 4 years before.
