Who's on track's Mt. Rushmore?

Came across this whilst surfing: picking the Denver Bronco's foursome for "Mt. Crushmore" (cute pun).

So if you had a mountain (and a lotta guys with picks!) to play with, what four track faces would you put up?

Can't argue with those four. In their own distinct way, each helped themselves and the sport.

The female version? Rudolph, Ashford, Slaney, JJK.

Too many suspicions about FloJo and the East Germans of the 70s and 80s.

If you're putting four on a mountain, sustained excellence and Olympic acheivements have to be the top criteria IMO.

Since sculpture will be in America (Yosemite's Half Dome is a good site) all the sculptees should be American!

My choice: O'Brien, Oerter, Owens, Lewis

Question: Do sculptees have to be dead? If so, replace Lewis with Warmerdam.

Stacy is sculpted into my heart . . . sigh . . .
Plus, I can't share her with others.
Plus, a simple stone likeness could not do her justice.
Plus, in a million years the mountain would crumble to the sea and I could not bear that thought.
