So sad. All the best to her family.

What terrible news I really warmed to her after a win at the Commonwealths in 2006 and one of the best marathons I've seen. My thoughts are with her family.

i was upset when she sneaked past the kenyan gal to win in '06 ( she had no business winning at 38y ), but this news puts everything into perspective

          uggh

reading homepage article, she had to make the worst choice any woman has

she was pregnant & decided to delay radiotherapy by 18 weeks in order to have the baby ( otherwise she woud have to abort & start it straight away )

that 18 week delay may have cost her her life ( & doctors wouda told her that at the time ) as it couda stopped the cancer spreading to her liver ( which is 100% terminal ), so she had the terrible choice of :

          her baby or her life

Very sad. Brave woman, adoring husband and a miracle child.
