  • 1984 l.a. olympics bag carriers?

hi, although this question is not directly track & field, it is athletics related i wondored if anyone on here could be of help and tell me who the bag carriers are from the track events from the l.a. games?, i.e. were they volounteers or high school kids ect because during the 200m mens final i recognised a person standing there and i just wanted to know who they were and maybe how i could find out?

No, the 1984 Official Report does not list the bag carriers. I know somebody who might know something but that's a long shot that he would know who was a bag carrier on which day for which event. He might have a list of all the volunteers in that category but a true long shot to have this information.

bambam I took a longshot stab in the dark . I was thinking more like ~~Volunteers from LaLa junior high carried athletes bags and the South Tarpit Womens Club provided airport pickup for Olympic officials ~~or somesuch subidentifier narrative not an actual list..
