  • How will I know my Love (was field event country)

Okay Per, I stand corrected on the pole vaulter, although I do seem to remember a world-class vaulter from ISL named Thörlaksson. But Love? I "collect" names of athletes from unusual countries, but I don't know the first thing about Love. The name does not sound Icelandic.

You are absolutely right, Noone. Love does not look Icelandic. The correct spelling is actually
Løwe (Lion) First name Thorstein is very Icelandic.

Ah yes, I did get some hits when I googled Thorstein Loewe. Apparently born 1923, seems to have thrown over 40 meters as late as 1971.
I did not find his name in the T&FN annual rankings. Or perhaps you just meant his mark was in the top 10?

I took the spelling of his name from trackfield.brinkster.net
Obviously, it must have been wrong...

No, I was not considering the rankings just the results.
