I agree the list is conspicuous, it is right there in plain sight and you can't miss it

But I don't see much unusual about it... interesting, yes. Little Randy Williams right up there just an inch from the top, still. Two MLB stars. Upshaw senior and a lot of other memorable athletes.

What am I missing, no one?

Is this a quiz or just a very hard to understand post?
If the former, does something similar apply to the triple jump?

The presence (tied) of two very good MLB outfielders of the '60s and '70s?

He did not make this list, but I also remember that Jim Fregosi ( a Cal kid I think ) also was quite a LJ'er.

Yup, low 24 I think. Junipero Serra HS (San Mateo).

This bit of trivia has been asked before here, but who broke Fregosi's school record? (no, he's not on that list)

I do note that Williams' mark is listed as wind-aided in Jack Shepard's High School Track.

                      Lynn Swann.

maybe a bit 'oblique' and its (LJ list) of particular interest as my brother LJd ... but look at the dates when the marks were made - I don't think there is quite the same # of 'old' marks ... in any other event. I shall humbly (?) accept my just deserts for obscure thinking.

Still pretty interesting I thought - a Cal top mark from 40s 50s ... even 60s. Whoda thunk.

Fregosi, Swann, Barry Bonds; not many schools can match that kind of star power.

Fregosi, Bonds, Tom Brady and Lynn Swan all went to the same HS?
                              If true, that's pretty amazing.
