  • Key dates in T&F history

When I was poking around for some information aboout Ormsby for another thread, I stumbled upon this site. I'm sure all the historical track geeks that hang here will say it is woefully incomplete...

How can you give any credence to a site that has Pietri winning the marathon and giving an incomplete accounting of Owens' day of days? If they can't get the basics right, why trust the rest of it?

This site is a nice idea, but should be used with great caution. It's woefully incomplete and laughably inaccurate in places. For example, the only two facts listed for 1957 are Don Bowdon's first-US-sub-4, which is listed TWICE: as happening once in June and then again in July!
