no, there is 3 , not 2: one oldie ( but 1936 or later) and 2 from more recently.

dj you should know this "oldie".

Since I get the feeling this isn't on the IU compilation, there's also Thad Shideler, silver medalist '04 in the 110H.

          Re: Indiana University Hoosiers

The only "compilation" I checked to compose this whole question was the I.U. Athletic Hall of Fame. Volz for some reason is not in, and I did not recognize some of those real old guys. Since trackesters were mixed in with all the other sports I could not very well check the provided individual bios on everyone. But a good website, includes pictures of all Members as well.

There's also a bio on individuals, including what many did with the "rest of their life."

oops.... one more Hoosier Olympian I missed:

I detect a lack of enthusiasm for this whole question, so I will sum up what's left, offer a few hints, and hope someone will finish this up:

need a Hoosier Olympian that was on both the 1948 and 1952 teams

need 3 Hoosiers that were all on the 1988 team

lastly need a 1940 designee, whose first name is the same as the last name of a Hoosier great who himself earned a silver and a gold.

I detect a lack of attentiveness. DJ answered that one hours ago.

sorry about that... it was late !

All we need is a 3J'er from 1988.

OK, the TJer must be Robert Cannon, and the '48-'52 guy would be Fred Wilt.

Thanks for the note, but there are several lurkers (some of whom respond on rare occasion) who have me beat on lots of things. I know what I know, but I'm horribly deficient in many other areas. You'll notice I stayed away from all the OG questions.
