  • Olympic Men's 4x100m Relay Trivia - Most decorated squad....

Which four men have twice won gold medals for running in Olympic 4x100m finals, and in what order would you have them run?

Who would be their more decorated relay alternate, having run in three Olympic 4x100m finals, winning a gold medal in each?

Four two-time relay 4x1 gold medalists:

    Carl Lewis
    Harrison Dillard
    Loren Murchison
and one person probably too recent to remember.

    Your alternate is Frank Wykoff.

      Here's only a partial effort...

      Michael Marsh
      Andre Cason
      Dennis Mitchell
      Carl Lewis

      Er...something like that...not sure on part 2...

I just looked up the fourth one and I'll be impressed if anyone knows it. And my initial guesses were similar to Transporter's. I think I had Drummond, though. Not too close.

Thinking outside the box, I at least managed to deduce a russian nationality (triggered by the hardness implied by the previous
              post).

The name, OTOH, I needed to look up---and I am far from certain that I
              have ever heared it before.

Edit: That should, of course, have been ``Sovjet nationality''.

Having written some stats books on USSR athletics it'd be a bit remiss of me not to know it. It was Vladimir Muravyev, from Kazakhstan, who ran on the winning USSR teams in 1980 and 1988
