  • when was the last 100 WR in Berlin?

the first 10.1 by Willie Williams in '56?

  • #2
I read an article a couple of weeks ago on the IAAF site in the build-up to the event where it mentioned all those who've done it in Berlin -- so I feel that sort of disqualifies me from answering. But I will say that Eddie Williams's 1956 run was not the first: Eddie Tolan equaled his WR there in 1929.

Williams is both a correct and incorrect answer to the question.

However, the question was not "Who", but "When".

Would not the correct answer be another "Williams", Mr. Steve Williams 34 years ago this month?
            Fire Impossible.

              Ohhhh, I know:

Herr Willhiem Weiner ate 100 kartoffelpuffers at a Berlin beer hall in 4 min 25 secs on August 23 2004 to set a new World Record...

Was that the trick question part? 8-)

Gohr set a coupleof records in early 1980s & might be most recent but were any set in Berlin .

Britta Steffen broke the 100 WR in Berlin less than two months ago... June 27, 2009.
