  • Best ever Track/Field Athletes from THESE high schools #2

Name the single most prominent T&F athlete from each of these high schools.

Same rules as before, no research. I'll give clues if things bog down.

Point scoring: 1 for the first person identified correctly, down to 20 for the last one. (If the first person gets five correct identifications that will be 15 points, still not enough to overcome the person who correctly gets the last of these 20 people.)

I'll take a guess at Central High: Jim Beatty, Wichita is Jim Ryun, Lincoln might be Don Bowden, and Barberton could be Glenn Davis.

          1 point for Beatty.

          Ryun is wrong
You haven't identified which Lincoln (and 'might be" doesn't cut it)
Barberton COULD BE Davis? You can't hedge on these things!

          FINAL answer?

Larry James is correct for 4 points.

Charlie Mays is not the answer we're looking for.

So not only do we have to know that an Olympic athlete went to one of the named high schools, we also have to be mind readers? :-)

Sorry, I'll correct the instructions to read "most" prominent athlete.

By the way, all the athletes in Quiz 1 and all those named so far in Quiz 2 have been Olympians. But that's not a requirement for inclusion in these two quizzes.

I'll guess Bob Hayes for Ribault in Jax.

Glenn Davis attended two high schools, Barberton and Marietta. He moved to Barberton after both parents died within a 12-hour span.

                          Clarkston (TN) -- Wilma Rudolph

                            H.S.

Hayes attended Matthew Gilbert, I think Ryun ran for Wichita East.
