The Sports Museum of Finland has a 179 page full biography of Nurmi (51 photographs) for sale. As far as I know, it's the only full biography of Nurmi available in English. I contacted the museum and they've been really helpful. If you're interested, I'd contact Pia Arvo ([email protected]). I've ordered my copy (it costs 27 Euros) and will let people know when it arrives what it's like.

Can highly recommend the book - pages are double columned and there perhaps aren't quite as many photos as one might hope. BUT it's a full biography of Nurmi - in English - a translation of a biography published in Finland in 1975. Foreword by Viren too. Buy it!

Who knows - maybe one day they'll translate a full biography of Viren too. Would love to read that too!
