Simon Vroemen /Steeple. He didn't get world age record, though. Q: what are the age 33,34,35 records, in this most grueling of events?(if birthdates are to be believed. Which we'll never know for sure?..)

      Age 33: Patrick Sang 8:03.41
      Age 34: Patrick Sang 8:08.01
      Age 35: Anacleto Jimenez 8:17.77

So now you're accusing Kenyan runners of being OLDER than they claim ? That's a new one for me :-)

Actually, a few years back James Munyala actually set a World Junior Record and a World Masters Record in the same race!

Yeah, the older guys' birthdates are reliable, probably. It's more the 15-18y-olds you wonder about. But I do wonder if the age 35 mark is right - I saw it listed, but also saw it on Athletics Annual list as Antonio Jimenez, born /77. If that's correct, age-35 record would be Ellarbi Khattabi's 8:20.6l('02 Monaco)??

You're right, it was actually Antonio Jimenez.
