I don't know about prototypes, but I am nearly certain that a common Joe in Europe received the first Olympic telecast in 1956. Hey, older Americans, did you get to watch Helsinki or even London on the tube? I kind of doubt it.

According to this site, first TV broadcasts in Germany and Britain were in '35, so it's certainly possible.

<1960 was the first Games on television>

The first OG's on TV was Melbourne, '56 (at least in Europe).

come on Garry, at least acknowledge that I got it. And obviously, "noone " knew it too but wanted to have fun watching others ( just me ) try to get it.

How about Abe Stark ? What's the Dodger connection ?

Actually, I retract part of my statement. Only did home games, so when the Dodgers were in Vero Beach couldn't have been there, so no baseball exhibitions I guess.

GG is correct initials. Played at both exhibition and regular season games in all three sports.

Gorgeous George played basketball, hockey and baseball in addition to Wrestling ? joke.

I'm stumped on this... 99 % sure it was some kind of publicity deal whatever it was, not a legit participant in all 3 sports.

I know the answer to gh's question. Are the initials GG?

OK, this is not track, but since we're talkin' Dodgers here, who played for the Dodgers, Knicks and Rangers in the same season?
