Checked above for list of world record setters in 100 (including hand timed), which list(s) you looking at?

I think it is a trick answer to do with teams but I still don't know how he comes up with it.

They also don't necessarily have to have set a record in the 100-as long as they are somewhere in the book.

Above link shows Netherlands, US and USSR all setting world records in Mexico City in 4x1 (USSR prior to Olympics). That makes 12, find the other 6.

Boyle ran on a record setting 4x2 team at one point.

Eastbay, minor correction needed. There were 4 WR holders when the competition ENDED, but when the OG final started, there were just 2. Schmidt of course, and then Gentile, after he jumped 56'1" in the Q's. All other WR jumps by him, Prudencio, and Saneyev were in the final itself.

WRs set in the actual final DO count! (re-read the very first post). Also, any people in the field who later went on to set a WR also counts.

And for the record (and seeing as I started this topic) relays DON'T count! That's just far too easy!!

how about in the 1 mile ? What's the most guys that lined up to start, and/or finished, with multiple WR holders either current or previous ? Bannister/Landy in Vancouver is easy but surely there's been times with more than two, both before then and since then.
