50 Years Ago Today

Nothing to do with track, but, for all of the music fans out there, Bill Haley and the Comets recorded Rock Around the Clock in NY City on April 12, 1954.

The song didn't become popular until 1955, when it was used in the classic movie Blackboard Jungle. As one NY DJ said, "Rock and Roll and juvenile delinquency were forever connected". Anyone remember "JD Cards"? (Not that I ever had one)

and it was 10 years ago today that pearl jam played its best ever concert at the orpheum theater in boston. i loved all six shows of theirs that i saw last year, but none of those shows i witnessed can come close to the 4/12/94 boston show that i've only heard.
