    Re: Fantasy 4x1

Sorry, correction to my last post. I now see that SMTC has their own team. I just think that is a little strange considering that all the other teams are nationally comprised teams. This does show the dominance of SMTC in the eighties and early nineties, though.

No one is willing to place Carl Lewis on either of the USA Teams. I figured a former 100m WR holder, is on the current 4x100m WR team, and arguably has the fastest archor leg in history deserves a place on at least the "B" team?!?

I agree with Rob regarding the Euro team. I was toying with Radford on the 3rd leg but Ray is probably a better choice. So Hary did not go under 10.10. Consider the era in which he ran '58 '59 and '60. He is one of the all time greats in the 100. Did Tommie Smith go under 10.10? Rob's Euro team would have finished in the top 2 or 3 IMHO.

Can you describe how Eugene RAY was running,
    Rob?
    (PS: thanks for the corrections)

Do you remember Eugene RAY's fantastic race
at the 1979 World Cup against Steve WILLIAMS.
Very narrow victory in 10"14, I believe, for
    The US sprinter.
Sad to know that this powerful sprinter from
DDR was killed in a car accident a few year
    later.
He was running like Marlies Goehr: small strides
    with very high velocity.

None of those guys with the exception of Borzov ever broke a 10.10.They might beat out Cuba. I would however have Pietro Mennea there instead of Ray.
