Been a while since we had one of these identify-the-birthday-boy things, so here's one...

Our mystery runner was born 102 years ago today. Twice a national champion in his main event, he competed in one event at one Olympics, winning a gold medal in his home country.

I would guess he might be an American, winning gold on the four by four relay about 79 years ago.
