Isn't it strange how tall Owens looks on the 1936 picture compared to Wykoff? I thought Owens was about 5'8" but he look as tall as Metcalfe and much taller than Wykoff who I believed was 5'9"
Ekkehard zur Megede's incedible Oly results book, with its index of I think everybody who ever competed in an Olympic track event (Anilus Joseph?!) lists Wykoff as 1.78 (5-10), Metcalfe as 1.80 (5-10.75) and Owens as 1.83 (6-0).
