I agree, I think the Johnson family would win, but there's gotta be some shuffling. I know Ben isn't used to 1st leg, but he's a great starter and so he'd do a stellar job there. Michael is the longer sprinter, so he's pretty much settled for 2nd leg. Allen Johnson runs a decent 200m (for a hurdler), so he'd do fine on 3rd leg. Then JJ is one of the best anchor leg runners in the world - he'd secure them the win.

Well, the Johnson family looks the most "modern". Although, is that Ben Johnson 1988 or Ben Johnson 1939?!

        1939
        F: 100 meters; S/F: 6/6; D: 04 JUL
        1. Clyde Jeffrey 10.2w
        2. Herbert Thompson 10.3ew
        3. Barney Ewell 10.3ew
        4. Mozelle Ellerbe 10.4ew
        5. Ben Johnson 10.4ew ******
        6. Perrin Walker 10.5ew

Or perhaps it's Ben Jonson (1572-1637), in which case I'll choose another team...

It is of course about the 1988 Ben JOHNSON...

I'd settle for the '87 Ben Johnson. But Michael should run 3rd leg. Good curve runner.

              I believe the 1988 Ben JOHNSON was a sub-9"70
              potential...
              Steroidian we know.
Of course we cannot re-write history...

                Willie
                Bernard
                Percy
                Howard
                Chris
                Zeak

I would have to go with the Smith family. They were some horses back in their day on cinder tracks.

                    Re: High Speed JOHNSON Family....

Moving this into first-names, how about "The Johns"

                    Jon Drummond
                    John Capel
                    John Regis
                    John Carlos

                    And "The Larrys"

                    Larry Questad
                    Larry Myricks
                    Larry Wade
                    Larry Black

                    And "The Donovans"

                    Donovan Housen
                    Donovan Bailey
                    Donovan Powell
                    Donovan Reid

                    And one for the women:

                    Angela Williams
                    Angela Bailey
                    Angela Daigle
                    Angella Issajenko

In the early to mid 80's-- there was talk in Canadian circles of the 4 Hinds brothers from Mississauga -- Stirling, Doug ( both Olympians), Jerry , etc. trying to get together for a legitimate family 4 x 100.

The Dyce family actually ran a 4x400. I would guess under 3:30

                            Angela Bailey
                            Aleen Bailey
                            Marjorie Bailey
                            Krysha Bayley (y not?)

for those not familiar with Marjorie, she was the original Bailey from Canada, ran 23.06 in Montreal semis, then anchored Canada to 43.17 for 4th in 4x100, (behind DDR, DFR, and USSR) Followed by Angela, Donovan and now Krysha.

Another pretty formidable squad - the 'Williams':

                              Jeff Williams
                              Bernard Williams
                              Patrick Williams
                              Steve Williams

(Willie Williams and Syan Williams as reserve).

Or, for the Brazillians, how about "da Silvas"..?

                              Joao Eugenio da Silva
                              André Domingos da Silva
                              Claudinei Quirino da Silva
                              Robson Caetano da Silva
