Ah, yes that was "The Shining Season" and I believe his name was Jack Barker or Baker. The only other person I remember was that classic name "Rip Torn".

JOHN BAKER is correct . miler, WAC CHAMP AND LEGEND at New Mexico. Part 2 is LOBOS greatest athlete and hero to me and many others who saw him run.
