    Glory Bound Living Champions

Happy birthday today (Wednesday) to two Olympic champions, one of which turns 55 while the other is 54 today. One won Olympic gold at the age of 32 and other won at 29 years old.

The older athlete was born on a Thursday and the younger person was born on a Saturday.

Born in a different country from the nation this athlete represented at the Olympic Games, the athlete born on a Saturday won Olympic gold on a Saturday. This athlete also has two Olympic silver medals from a previous Olympics.

First athlete from a certain country to win the Olympic gold medal in this event is how you might describe the person born on a Thursday. A year before winning this special gold medal, our birthday athlete took a bronze medal at the World Championships.

Our Saturday birthday athlete owns gold, silver, and bronze medals from the World Championships. Both athletes are runners from the same continent.

Who are these two birthday people for this first Wednesday of April?

Happy birthday today to Gelindo Bordin and to Linford Christie. Congratulations, mcgato. Nice job. Of course you know that Bordin ran the long distance while Christie stuck to the shorter distances.
