Happy birthday today (Monday) to an Olympic champion from way back in time (different century).

This champion was born 126 years ago today and died a few hours after turning 77 (just before the Mexico City Olympic Games).

Our birthday athlete was 29 when winning the Olympic gold medal in Europe.

Born on a Friday in the 19th Century, this person won the Olympic gold medal on a Friday in the 20th Century.

Please don't exclude the hurdles this time.

It's not exactly easy, but can you name our birthday champion for this day after Christmas (Boxing Day)?

Yes, today is the birthday of Percy Hodge who won the steeplechase in Antwerp (1920). Very good guypizzo200.

Maybe guypizzo200 is president of the "Percy Hodge Fan Club".

No, I just used sound geometric logic! I think that is how "Carnac The Great" used to find his answers too!
