    The only Olympics NZL has had more than 1 athletics gold was 1964 with Snell's 800/1500 double. Also won golds in 1936, 1952, 1956, 1960, 1976, 2008, and 2012.

            1960 in Rome, 30 minutes apart - Snell in the 800 followed by Halberg in the 5,000
