IMHO
I asked if there was a connection, therefore, by definition, it is track related.

Re: Brando passed away
Twenty two years before me, Brando attended Julia Lathrop Junior High School in Santa Ana, California. We even had the same shop teacher. Lathrop had a track team and I would have been on it if my parents hadn't moved to the next town, taking me with them. Later, I became a middling high jumper and even later a coach. That is a clear Brando-track connection. At least good enough for the moment, I believe.

Re: Brando passed away
My cousin's friend's brother plays tennis with guy who knows the daughter of lady who went to a Brando premier film back in the day. She said it was an "up tempo" film that had her "jumping to new heights" with anticipation right up till it came to a "blistering close".
Now if that is not a track connection what is?

Re: Brando passed away
At the 1982 NCAA Championships in Provo, we all went out to dinner at a Mexican restaurant in Orem. During the meal the subject of favorite movies came up. John Geer mentioned "One-Eyed Jacks" as being among the greats.
We left he restauarant and went back to the motel. When we turned on the TV, "One-Eyed Jacks" was on.
And that's as close as I can get Brando to track!
