Happy birthday to two Olympic champions born a total of 132 years ago today (Monday).

These two athletes won their Olympic gold medals in different continents and in different events.

Both people won Olympic gold in nations that speak the same language and both were 22 when winning those gold medals.

They won a total of two Olympic gold medals and one Olympic silver medal at a total of four Olympics.

You probably know that they were not born on the same continent.

The older of these two was 40 when the younger person was born and the younger athlete won Olympic gold in the same country where the older athlete was born.

Did I tell you that one of these two champions died at the age of 78 and that the other individual turns 46 today?

Someone must know the names of these two Olympians, so go ahead and name them on this second Monday of December.

Has to be an MC and a VN - by the clues has to be 1956 and 1996, and the 1956 has to be born in America - which makes it Milt Campbell. For 1996 that would be VN which has to be Venuste Niyangabo

Happy birthday today to Venuste Niyongabo (46) and to Milt Campbell who was born 86 years ago today, but died about seven years ago. Very well done, bambam1729. You know Campbell won the Olympic silver and the Olympic gold medals in the decathlon while Niyongabo won the Olympic 5,000 in Atlanta (1996). Niyongabo was the first athlete from Burundi to win an Olympic medal (and it was gold).
