                Vancouver, with a population of roughly 2.5 million, is the largest. Vancouver consists of a bunch of municipalities, including the city of Vancouver. Thinking Vancouver has a population of 600,000 plus is like thinking London has a population of 10,000, because that’s the population of the city of London.

                  The city population is officially 632,000 (approx) as of 2019. The urban population is listed as 2,2 million

                    I assume these are current populations? My guess is that Calgary has grown since 1988 as Alberta has become a more major oil producer. I also suspect that Sarajevo has lost population since 1984 due to the repercussions of the war in former Yugoslavia.
