  • U.S. 100/200 Doublers At OG

Having Gatlin and Crawford make the squad is something that hasn't happened in a while (a pairing, that is). Who were the last duo?

And for extra points, in which OG did the U.S. use the same three guys in both the 100 and 200?

Garry there well may be a pair since the pair I am listing below, but I know these 2 for sure:

    1956 Melbourne

    Bobby Morrow 1/100, 1/200
    Thane Baker 2/100, 3//200

For the extra points, Tolan, Metcalfe and Simpson in 1932.

Per, thank you for not getting on line ahead of me so we could hopefully share honors here. As to the extra credit part, I knew the Tolan/Metcalfe part but not a third. You da man on that one !

I am very curious as to why this was posted...I can't conceive of any interpretation of gh's question that has Borzov as the answer!

                38.50?
                Thanks.

Isn't this post about individuals who doubled in the 100 and 200 meter dashes in Olympics, or about US runners who have doubled in the 100 and 200 meter dashes?

Not true ! there were 2 questions, I answered one, then he answered the next. Go back, re-read the question, then look at the first response.

(Not that any of this means anything, just being a wonk/loser craving recognition I suppose.)

And he did not "find" it I bet... he "knew" the second one, as did I for the first one. No research done before answering by me (or him probably). And surely he would have answered the first part correctly too, but saw that I had done it already, so he just answered the second part.

You are right HJSTEVE, no need to research these things.

It was harder to find the second part.
And Per found it before you!!!
Per is also fair-play with you...which makes
