I was actually referring to Curtis Dickey. I hadn't forgot about Matson but was talking the 100.I did say "sprinter" however.......my bad!

So who was the "first" real speedster at wide receiver he was an NCAA champ in the 100yard dash.

Hayes wasn't a running back, he was a receiver.

Hayes was not a "running back", he was a wide receiver.

Bob Boyd. Before that, the NCAA champ who made it in pro football (as a DB, I believe) was Buddy Young.

Bullet Bob was a running back while at Florida A&M. The Cowboys made a receiver out of him. Their idea was who couldn't he outrun....hahahaha!! Deep!!!!!!

The Bob Hayes 'trivia' fact. NFL zone defenses were 'invented' to contain him deep. Before that they were mostly man-to-man. How would you like to have been the safety who had to cover him on a crossing pattern?!
