    This guy may not have a whole lot of speed, but good endurance - his 1500 meters comes up to just below 80 secs per 100, not much slower than his time at 100. In other words, he's a typical US distance runner :-P

    Ah, finally a potentially attainable long term goal. Just what I've been looking for. Now if everything lese in my athletic career goes for not I can always fall back on "Well I'm actually training for one last goal".

    Note to self:
    Live to 100 so you can be world class. If I die before that(2076), certainly somebody could roll my dead body 100 meters faster than 71 seconds. Haha..we'll see.

    Saw this in Runner's World Daily News:

    "At the 2001 Brisbane WMAC, the first documented 100-year-old competed in the world championships: Leslie "Les" Amey of Australia, who won the 100 in 71.05 seconds and set an inaugural M100 world record in the 1500 (19:59.54). "

    He probably could have run faster, but got lost on the way to the finish line!
