    Re: Most knowledgable T&F afficionados

RLQ is THE authority. He is merely the author of six books on the history of T&F (and maybe more, if I'm missing something). Also the founder of the ATFS.

Are the McWhirters still around? They published a few books with the Guinness people.

Probably one of the most knowledgeable about track and field on this planet is a man who has been to every outdoor world championship in our sport and also 14 Olympic Games. He not only started the greatest magazine about athletics (TFN), but he also has written books about the sport. Even though he turns 85 next month, Cordner Nelson remains one of the most knowledgeable people in track and field today.

One of the most knowledgeable experts on T&F is Ian Hodge. Many years ago I remember someone asking him - what's your speciality. The reply came back "Anything that moves".

Does anyone have email addresses for the above mentioned afficionados?
