  • 1968 Mexico City Steeplechase

At the risk of sounding like a neophyte, I am wondering if anyone can point me to film of the steeple from Mexico City. Those games are certainly much more remembered for the Smith/Carlos protest as well as for WR's in the 400, the 4 x 1, the LJ, and the 4 x 4. But, can you recall another steeple finish that had all three finishers in the same second?

Will be tough to top this one: the 1992 OT:

        Diemer 8:16.56
        Croghan 8:16.87
        Lopez 8:16.88
        Nohilly 8:16.92

        4 within 0.36!!!!

IN the same second, yes. WITHIN a second, more.

          1968: 8:51.02, 51.56, 51.86
          1900 (4000): 12:58.4, 58.6, 58.8

          2000: 8:21.43, 21.77, 22.15 (22.23)
          2004: 8:05.81, 6.11, 6.64
