According to Palin in a recent interview we are either at war with Iran or will be within the first 100 days of a McCain/Palin administration (and she is not confusing Iran with Iraq - she mentions both): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4D9LofMCa8A

Palin 2012!!!!
Greta Van Susteren is a bit shit isn't she?
I always thought she was a well respected reporter like Diane Sawyer or someone but have just found out she's actually on Fox so obviously not.
Can you imagine British reporter letting a politician say such a stupid think and get away with it.
I think everybody involved in the US election shoudl have to go through a grilling by Jeremy Paxman
How do you think Palin would cope with that???

Having said that I think almost any UK presenter would have given them all a harder time than they get in the Us were everyone is far too deferential, apart from the egregious obvious exceptions.
Actually i have to say I'm loving Campbell Brown, she's great but i haven't seen her interview any of the big guns. She wouldn't let them get away with anything.

I remember one show when he had Paul Krugman and Bill O'Reilly on together. When O'Reilly was losing the argument on facts he went straight to his bullying tactics and Russert did nothing except say at the end it was all very amusing. Great.
Paxman is wonderful. I met him once in Hay-on-Wye a few years ago. I wish we had someone like that here. Of course, I wish we had the equivalent of the BBC here.
Does anyone remember back in 2002 when Wolf Blitzer babbled to Colin Powell, "god bless you sir" at the end of the show. I almost fell out of my seat. I immediately thought of Paxman and just tried to imagine saying anything remotely as obsequious to the Foreign Secretary.

I was in New York during September just after Palin was nominated for VP (It was during that time of lipstick on a pig nonsence that made me despair for the American public if it's thaty kind of crap that the media focus' on) and was really impressed by CNN. It seemed to be genuinely 'Fair and balanced' and had some really good reporters who doing there very best to stay on track during extremely trying times.
Obviously nothing comparable to the BBC but certainly way better than i remember from when i used to get CNN Worldwide.

Flumpy, Chris Matthews occasionally does the type of interviews that I think you would appreciate like when he when after right-wing Congresswoman Michele Bachmann a couple of weeks ago. If she gets voted out of her very conservative district on Tuesday, this exchange will be the reason why. However, if an interviewer goes to far, like Barbara West did last week with Joe Biden, they'll get boycotted. This exchange lead to Obama cutting off all access to his campaign personnel from this TV station and pulling all of his commercials off the station.

I thought she was goingt o say Venuzuela or Cuba but Sweden???
Joe Biden is great when she asks if Obama is a Marxist because he wants to "spread the wealth around" he looks bewildered and says "Are you joking? Is that a serious question?".
You just don't get such ridiculously biased presenters in Britain. Certainly not on something that purports to be a news show. It's just embarrassingops:
As you may have guessed I'm completely obsessed with the Us election. It's the new Olympics!!!Although hopefully they'll be far less surprise winners.

Q1 It must be hard to live in a socialist country, is there any truth to the rumor you are seeking political asylum?
Q2 Are Swedes allowed to stay out after dark?
Q3 Is it true you burn money in the fireplace to heat your homes at night?
It must be terrible to have to live in Sweden!
