Iran's Nucs

Is Iran trying to build nucs? When will they be ready? Why do they want them?Will sanctions work? What will Isreal do before they are built? What will President Obama do and will it work. What will Russia do if Isreal hits first with nucs? What should the U.S. do?

To me this is the most important or one of the most important world problems right now. What say you?

The best case is Iran wants them for regional power and defense, the worst case is they arent lying when they say they want to wipe Isreal off the map.

Sanctions don:t work. Cut them off, and someone sympathetic to them will bring in the supplies, food and/or aid necessary to continue; sanctions would be political in nature, with not an Iranian going hungry, homeless or shirtless as a result.

Don:t surround the country with any military presence.

President Obama will have that desired luncheon with Ahmadinejad, both can smoke their cigars and world peace can remain an ideal until Ahmadinejad flexes a muscle in an effort to see what Obama is really made of. Obama keeps his word, impresses upon UN leadership to keep level-headed in the matter, Ahmadinejad:s grand-standing and posturing dwindles down to drivel. Israel, though always on standby and on orange alert, takes no pre-emptive action against Iran.

Well, in an interview a few days ago, Palin promised a war with Iran within 100 days of a McCain presidency. That should take care of it.

Iran will get the bomb and there's nothing we can do about it. Furthermore, as former CINC Commander General John Abizaid said, the U.S. can live with a nuclear Iran.
