My mate told me a couple of nights ago that he was in fact a bisexual and he does not know how to go about telling is gf that he likes both boys and girls.....His mother knows but not his dad since he is a religious person(the dad that is). My reply to all of this was Son....you get the best of both worlds and i will not cry you down.

Re: Is being a Bisexual a bad thing ?
I once read (maybe the N.Y. Times) that while women could be inclined / wired (don't recall the exact words) towards bi-sexuality, that men could not. If men thought/ acted bi-sexualy, they were just deluding themselves.

It's not bad or good; it just is.
It probably makes for a more complicated social life though (or perhaps just a more robust one, since most people eliminate 50% of prospective matches right off the bat!)

Maybe we just haven't met attractive enough person of the same sex ... yet.
But . . . I think I'll just stick with my (female) wife.

The matter of sexual identification seems to be getting more complicated. The other day, I came across the initials LGBTQ. The Q was a new one to me. Google led me to this:

Re: Is being a Bisexual a bad thing ?
The term "queer" has been used in the gay (etc.) community for a couple of generations. I noticed it becoming particularly common around 1990, when I met a lot of anti-war activists who were much younger than me. That usage didn't faze me, but the "valley girl" accents sometimes did!
