I'm not so sure about that. Ike was the last Republican President to carry the Black vote so he couldn't have been that polarizing. And judged by the number of indictments and convictions of members of his administration, he had one of the most ethical and honest administrations in American history.

By the way, I think that indictments and convictions are a good measuring stick for judging presidencies and using this metric Obama had the cleanest administration of my lifetime.

He was the leader of allied forces in WW2 , hard to villify him, that is for sure.

I would not use the black vote as a measure of who is polarizing. It probably has zero correlation. Blacks started voting Democrat with the new deal of Roosevelt.

You and your president need to do some research
No one is asking for soviet style military parades, but a tribute to the sacrifice of the defenders of freedom is a good thing.

First you said us liberals have hated republican presidents since 1928...wrong!

Zero comparison...crack open a couple history books and get back with me.
Eisenhower was just a vehemently attacked for his South America and Caribbean policies. In fact the bay of pigs mission was planned by Eisenhower.

And since you mention Iran, it was Eisenhower that used the CIA and Brits to overthrow the socialist /communist government there.
