Interesting observation about no black players. I read an article on this same subject about a year ago. The good black baseball athletes have gotten squeezed out by the hispanics.

What goes around comes around. The BEST get to play. Baseball is now ( since 1947 ) color blind, and ethnic blind, as it indeed should be.

It does not matter to me, but I hope the Astros win it. The National League needs this one!

        Where's the news??

Considering the precipitous decline in interest in baseball by black youth since the '80's, what is so surprising?

Wake me when your thread title is "US 4x100 has no black members"

Must not be very important since we have not heard anything about it from Louis Farrakahn, Jessica Jackson, and Al Sharpton.... Does not matter anyway since Chicago is going to win this one!

In regard to guru's post, how far back must we go to find an all white US 4X100 Meter relay team?

Guru, seems like the whole Andy and Roger come back home and take the team to the Series thing, while no other homegrown black player has signed up for this gig is what can be a problem. Are there no Houston-type star black athletes playing in the majors who also wanted to play in the sandbox with Clemens and Pettite?
