I joined mrs. hammy in one of her favorite delights – the deep-fried shrimp heads they serve at our favorite sushi place with the ama ebi (raw shrimp).

Tafnut's Culinary Rule of Thumb. Never eat any part of something that includes a bodily orifice.

Anyways, the bottom line is that the fried shrimp heads were disgusting. VERY fishy tasting (she says it tastes like chicken livers, which is close enough – I don’t eat those either). There was not enough ginger on the table to wash down that taste!!

Why do you think the Japanese drink beer out of those huge bottles? (Not that it was an option for Mr. Young)

Well, I stopped watching because Steve Young retired and the 49ers became unwatchable. But if I did watch, TiVo takes care of most of the TV problems.

I have a friend who watches every single game broadcast every week (which I believe is five, until they start playing on Saturdays as well), but he watches them AFTER they're all over. He TiVos them all and then watches them quickly, skipping through all the commercials and I think even through the dead space between plays.

I can't decide if he's nuts or smart. Maybe both.

Works great for every game except the Super Bowl. Then most of the folks at the hammy SB party want to watch the commercials, too. Oh, and rewind and watch those wardrobe malfunctions in slow mo, another TiVo feature.
