  • How old is the oldest Tshirt you still wear?

This must be a guy thing- wearing a Tshirt until it is holey, smelley and basically disintergrating. Okay that is an exaggeration but as my DH is so not a clothes horse and he works at home he wears a tshirt every day. If it wasn't for me weeding out old ones I swear he woud live in ones from 15 years ago! Anyway the oldest one he owns and wears now is from the 1994 CWG . H also wears a few from the 2001WC.

My oldest one- I have one from the 2001 WC that I don't wear but must keep and the next oldest would be from about one year ago.

Okay guys- my nose is plugged- oldest Tshirt you still wear??? :?

1982 from when I first started to race. 15 years isn't even old. 1994 is like brand new and 2001 would be mint. I don't understand this thread. Your DH would be the rule not the exception, unless I miss my guess.

1994 Lollapalooza XL T-shirt. I still have a 1965 Ed "Big Daddy" Roth Rat Fink shirt and a 1967 Winnipeg Pan-Am Games T-shirt but they wouldn't fit a five year old. Jeez, I've still got 30 year training shoes under my bed. At least my feet are the same size.

All I wear are t-shirts, so I have a fairly fast burn rate. A shirt from the roll out of Windows 95 in late 1994 is the oldest I can think of.

I do have my first pair of racing (XC) shoes - Tiger Marathons - from 1972 around.

There are two questions implicit there: not just oldest shirt you wear, but also "oldest shirt hanging in your closet that you'd still wear if you could!"

I can't fit into my F**K The Russians shirt from LA anymore.

I am still wearing a shirt from 1988. It is getting quite thin and hard to take off when sweaty. The other day, when I took it off, it got a slight rip in the back. I need to be more careful.

I hedge my bets by getting extra large all the time.

                    Great thread about thread-bare threads.

Yeah, but in '84 I was hedging my bets by getting larges instead of mediums!

It would appear I didn't. Anyone going to come to mojo's defense here? Looks like spousal abuse to me.

The only spoudsal abuse is that I have to wash the darn things and then oh so neatly fold them.
I love the old ones where the ink is so thick that the lettering is cracking- anyone know what I am talking about

Now who will post a picture of them (circa2006) wearing said T shirt??....oh never mind they would be deleted as unfit for female viewing I am sure. :P

So far MJD has the oldest. Wow and he won't drive a car more than what a couple of years old?

Of course we all know what the cracked lettering is all about. This is not news to any of us. As far as vehicles go, I am buy and hold with them too. Worst investment you can make. Get a nice one and just keep it. People say to me all the time-"See the car so and so is driving." YAWN. Most of them are leased anyway. I figure one more SUV after this one and then they will take my license away. Segue-met a guy at the local dump where I ski and found out he was 92 and looks 15 years younger. Told me he doesn't have to take his test for another 5 years.

You can see how very carefully I have read any thread here about (yawn) cars.

So a good tshirt is like a BMW???

Garry-I love the Russia one- would have like to have that last night.
